Six sex offense charges, including rape of a minor under the age of 13, dismissed - all charges ultimately dropped
Summary of the case (facts) The client lived with the victim, who was related to him since childhood, and was charged with six serious charges of committing sexual offenses against her over a period of years. Based on the victim's testimony, the trial court sentenced the client to 15 years in prison. Faced with the prospect of losing everything, our client turned to Onkang Law Firm for his last hope, and with our assistance, he was acquitted of all charges on appeal. However, the prosecutor disagreed and filed an appeal to the Supreme Court, which was the final step in a long legal battle. The credibility of the victim's testimony was a key issue in the case, as the victim's testimony was the only evidence in the case, without any objective evidence. In particular, in the Supreme Court appeal, the appellate court (2nd instance) that acquitted them misunderstood the law or misinterpreted the limits of liberal psychology.
