The case stemmed from a misunderstanding between the child's parents, who were suspicious of the child's frequent injuries while at the daycare center. The client argued that the child's injuries were caused by falls during walks or fights with other children, and that the child was not intentionally physically or mentally abused because the child's parents responded promptly.
